An ECG is performed in one of our Global Pathology Centre and involves the placement of sensors on your chest, arms, and lower legs for a limited period of time to monitor your heart. The lab assistant will ask you a few health-related questions when you arrive (height, weight, medications, symptoms, reason for the testing, if you have had this test performed before, and whether you have a pacemaker) ECGs are one of two types of cardiac monitoring that we provide at one of our Global Pathology Centre or through our non-acute hospital mobile lab services.
